Built in updater hardcoded to netscape #29

Clicking the lightbulb icon on the statusbar checks for updates, and shows a
dialog with 'Download' and 'Close'

Clicking 'Download' attempts to launch a browser, but it appears to be
hardcoded to netscape and so fails if netscape is not installed.

Im using the 3.0.5 jar on Mac OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

what browser are you using? It has a list of few browsers it tries to launch,
maybe yours doesn't exist there and needs to be added.
tnx

I'm running 3.0.6beta on Ubuntu 10.10. When I click the lightbulb I get a panel
offering a download, but nothing happens when I click [Download]. I have Google
Chrome and Mozilla Firefox installed.

Bit of a Catch-22! I can't check whether 3.08 works properly when I press the
Lightbulb as it's the latest version, so there is no update available - I'll
have to wait until you have produced a newer version...

Main Menu -> Help -> Manual (and other items in help menu) use the same code to
launch the browser. If they work, update will work too.
Tnx

I've checked and they all work - loading the relevant page very quickly.
