Pause & Stop Greyed Out #37

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Ubuntu 12.04 [LTS]
Gespeaker 0.8.1
GNOME III

Upon loading Mbrola English mb-en1, or any voice for that matter, pause & stop
are greyed out. I have to wait for dialogue to finish before pressing play
again.

I can confirm the issue on Ubuntu 12.04 with Gespeaker 0.8.1 (installed from
this PPA [1]). What I see though is slightly different:
- Whenever I select a voice that is marked with a 'cross' (as in 'not
available') then upon clicking play, the 'stop/pause' buttons can be activated
without trouble. This works for 'english' and 'english-us'.

- Whenever I select a voice that is marked with a 'checkbox' (as in
'available') then upon clicking play, the 'stop/pause' buttons can NOT be
activated. This happens for 'en-french' or 'english-mb-en1' or 'us-mbrola-2'.

Unfortunately not being able to stop playing a text is somewhat of a
deal-breaker to using Gespeaker.
