Elmah error Log is not working when Custom error mode is On #232

I have implemented Elmah in my current MVC project so I have need to set it On 
so that it can be redirect to custome error page and with the Elmah I can 
capture all log details 
That is working fine when I set it to Off mode, but that is not possible in 
real senario, so I have set it False and then I am not able to get errror 
logged in by Elmah...
As per my knowledge Application_error event fires even if that mode is set, but 
not working in my application.
So please suggest what I need to do with this.
