@hannahker I am a Pre-final year computer Engineering student studying at Pune Institute of Computer Technology. I am excited about advances in Machine Learning and have been exploring this field lately. I am interested in the project "Administrative boundary data quality reports". I read the abstract provided on the projects page of GSOC'21. I am well versed with Geopandas library for geospatial analysis. I would like to get more insights on this topic as to what is expected for the project and would be glad to get your guidance regarding how to proceed further. I wanted to know exactly about the desired outcome of the project and the tasks required for the same. I would be glad to take some useful insights from your side related to this project so that I can suitably plan my solution. Regards, Kunal Shah.

Hi @kunalshah03 - thanks for your interest in this. To get in touch with our potential mentors for this project, I'd suggest that you reach out on this Gitter channel. Please also feel free to take a look at this calendar to book a slot to speak to us about the project and share some of your ideas.

One of the great (but potentially challenging) things about this project is that our expectations are quite open! We've tried to give an overview of the background context for this project in the README here, and with these points in mind you can propose a project that would interest you and also help us tackle the problems mentioned here. It would also be helpful to keep in mind the end products that MapAction creates with this data. You can see examples on our website here.

Feel free to also share with us a draft proposal if you'd like and we'd be happy to give some feedback before the deadline.

@hannahker There are no slots for today's date in the calendar. Could you please create one so that I can book it?
