Android Wear 2.0 for China demo #185

Google has announced a specific version of Android Wear 2.0 for China in developer preview.

There are two situations where developers will need to import Google Play services for China:

  • Apps that require direct interaction with the paired mobile device - some experiences require Android Wear to connect directly to a paired phone. In this case, the Data Layer API introduced in Android Wear 1.0 will continue to function.
  • New FusedLocationProvider for China - we have added location detection to the SDK for Chinese developers. With the user's permission, your app can receive location updates via the FusedLocationProvider.

We should consider adding a demo that targets this specific platform and usecase.

It's a shame that those 2 entities are not on good terms (C) and (G), just want to confirm the service stability of the FusedLocationProvider, in case functionailty being interrupted on important occasions and to avoid negative feedback from users. Thanks. P.S Mobile products for domestic market were screened to exclude Google Play, so unless they're brought back from outside personally, the device will not be compatible for Google Play.
