The framework doesn't have to be code signed to be compiled (as opposed to app target).
It doesn't disturb but doesn't help with anything. In case of people who want to compile the example project - either to run & see it on their device or to modify the code - they need to change provisioning profile in both example app target and framework target. After this change there will be only 1 change, so fairly easier to run on their devices.
