Hit this (backtrace) at:

z22
while debugging https://github.com/mapnik/mapnik/issues/2897
in mapbox-studio with using https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-studio/pull/1347/files except with node-mapnik built from source at https://github.com/mapnik/node-mapnik/commit/5b4708baad6afefa4b8499999330e4e8def9f9c8

Did not reduce a testcase, nor could I figure out a patch, but it crashed repeatedly.

Solution was to downgrade to r493 and re-apply our patches against that base: now down in the r494-mapnik branch at https://github.com/mapnik/clipper/branches
