For anyone feeling overwhelmed or just plain new to data mapping, you may find this short course from Data Viz today useful.

For those who might be looking for more advanced mapping info, he offers up their blog posts on Data Visualization.

One particularly relevant post is this one breaking down a recent Washington Post story about the 1968 riots. It details how the reporters worked together to create detailed and in-depth maps that told the story.

@lobenichou just wrote up a recent blog post on using expressions in Mapbox to visualize election data. Pretty great write up and resource, for anyone looking to go the next level with Mapbox. cc @anbraggs for the rest of the team not using GitHub.
