Can't load big shapefile #29

Dear Mr Edler,

I'm trying to construct a Bioregion Map from species distribution in shapefile format. The file is quite big (1.16 GB) since it contains 348 species with large global distributions. I've been using Firefox, Safari and Chrome but couldn't load the information. Can u help me? Is there anyway I can dwonload the tool and use it offline?

By the way, contratulations for the great tool u have developed

I haven't tried a shapefile of that size I think, do you happen to have a link to it? I can try make a desktop app with https://electron.atom.io/ and see if that relaxes some of the current browser limitations for that large files. Otherwise, the plan is to make a command line version of the tool for easier integration in an automated workflow, and that will probably also help in this case.
