Legend rectangle #17

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I am working on placing a Legend Rectangle such that the to part of the
legend rectangle touches the bottom part of the map rectangle.

The actual legend, scale bar, text information inside the legend rectangle
stays in the same place.

I am having to do this work. I welcome any contact with anyone who is
working in this area.

I am not sure that any code I write will be to the correct standards. For
example I am Windows, with data in shape file. What I write may not work
for other data

I have completed this for our use. We can get our Legend Rectangle to
match our Map surround.

I will look into setting this with TaggedElements.

I would love to see your changes, and the behaviour you describe first
hand. As for the "correct standards", I'm not sure we have any! Although
I'm running the project, at the moment, I'm not a developer so my standards
pretty much equate to a) does it work, b) is it usable, and c) is it
relatively bug free?

If the answers to these questions are all affirmative and the changes
don't negatively impact existing functionality I welcome it warmly.

the reporter and 1st comment for this is issue is actually Derek Davidson.
We've been
in correspondence and have slated January 2008 as a time to investigate the
changes
referenced and how to merge them.
