Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago
text of the error is "DSMapBookUIPrj: ShowExporterDialog - This key is already
associated
with an element of this collection"
I found a couple of other reports
[http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=1731&t=127692
1][http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=1731&t=130212 2] with
ShowExporterDialog, both
of which were fixed by un- and re-installing, though the error message is not
the same.
"The key...collection" part does show up in a few other places but not with any
conclusive
answers as to their cause, though a number have suggested the index layer might
have
duplicate or null entries in it's attribute table.
If reinstalling does not help, try installing the [UpstreamESRIreleases latest
9.3 upstream
release].
Another potential workaround is to batch print to a virtual pdf printer instead
of batch
export. There are [http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilities/free-pdf-converters-
drivers.shtml a number of these available].

I'm curious about the null or repeated values in the Index table. I added a
field
to the index layer that had the Sheet Numbers for labeling reasons. I think
the
error started sometime after that. Some fields are not in use, so I put zeros
in
there. Still, I'm not sure why adding a field should effect anything, because
the
new field has nothing to do with the mapbook field functions of the index layer.
