Printing Map Series and Choosing page range produces error #46

When printing select pages to an HP plotter from the print map series 
option the folowing errors occur:

'ParsOutPages - Object variable or With Block variable not set'

'cmdOK_Click - Object variable or With block variable not set'

The result is the files will not print

Can "the select pages" print to something other than the HP plotter? How about 
Export
to PDF?

I found I prior report from 6 years ago with the same error message, but no
resolution: http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=993&t=63002#191661

Someone else with a similar error reported that deleting Normal.mxt from
%appdata%\ESRI\ArcMap fixed the problem (note that you lose any customizations 
if you
do this) - http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=989&t=211395#691124

This could be the same problem as I was having with Select By Scale.  If so, it 
will
have the same solution.
