Missing labels on corners of mapbook pages when data frame is rotated #65

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Rotate data frame, approx -32degrees
2.Use auto label engine to produce labels for feature class
3.execute mapbook generation on rotated dataframe with index grid included.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Labels do not appear in the lower left and upper right corners of mapbook
pages.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Arcgis 9.2 spk6, Winxp pro, Mapbook for ArcMap 9.2, Release 2007 October 26

Please provide any additional information below.

Thank you for your report matteitrem.

I have had problems in ArcMap in the past with disappearing labels and features
when
the dataframe is rotated and feature classes are being projected on the fly. Is
all
the data in your map the same projection?

In any case I have not been able to replicate the problem on ArcGIS 9.3sp1 and
Mapbook_for_9.3_2009.February.zip (which should also work on 9.2).

I am trying to use DSMapBook to make a group of property maps based on Quarter
Quarter Sections. I have a lay out set up and am using the the QQ Section grid
as
my tile creator. I am trying to lable the neighboring pages and they are there
but
the problem is that they do not fit on the page. They will in the general
area,
just need to be moved about an inch back on to the page in the printable area
and
data frame. I can move them and make them right, save the map, then click on
to
another tile and the lables are again off the page.

Please let me know if there are some placement properties that can be chagned
to
make sure those lables are placed within the printable area of the page. Having
to
move each individual one kind of defeats the purpose of using the mapbook,
right?

I am using Arc 9.3 SP1, Windows XPup-to-date, and the newest version of
Mapbook.

Thank you for any help in advance!
Jay
