Problem with quetzal file from Mac Zoom

I'm attempting to use the DropBox saves feature to share saved state between 
the Mac version of Zoom and ipad frotz.  Specifically, I'm running Zork 1 Solid 
Gold edition (R52).  Zoom on the Mac saves more than just a quetzal file, but 
the .qut file is in the package structure that Zoom creates.  So here are my 
steps:

1. Save state in Zoom on the Mac
2. Open the saved state package that Zoom creates and copy the .qut file out of 
it into my DropBox /Frotz/Saves/Zork1-R52.zblorb.d folder
3. Fire up Zork 1 on frotz on ipad, use the 'restore' command to pull in the 
quetzal file.

I see this output:

@Attempt to address illegal object 13553.  This is normally fatal.
Fatal error: Illegal object

I'm running iOS frotz v 1.5.3 on an iPad 2, 32GB wifi model, running iOS 5.0.1.

I'm attaching the .qut file for your inspection.
