Stuck in IFDB Browser #176

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on game info in game list.
2. Once in IFDB browser article, pressed back (left arrow) button. Now I have
the main listing of IFDB, but I can't get back to the Frotz story list. I can
navigate within the browser, but can't seem to exit it.

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to swipe, double-tap, or click a close button. What am I
missing?

What version of Frotz are you using?
1.5.3?

What device model are you using (iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod Touch 3rd gen,
etc.)
iPhone 3

What version of iOS? 3.2, 4.0, 4.3, etc.)
5.0.1

Please provide any additional information below.
I eventually managed to get out by browsing to a story bundled in Frotz and
clicking the download link.

The upper left hand nav button should have changed to "Story List" when you go
into the IFDB browswer, and tapping it goes back to the Story List.
Did this not happen for you? Are you able to reproduce the issue?

When in a story, in portrait orientation, I see "<Story List] Frotz (i)
[/]". In landscape, which I generally use, this menu bar disappears.
In Story List, when in portrait orientation, this menu becomes "[Browse IFDB]
Frotz (i) Now Playing>". Landscape orientation does not reorient.

When I select a story using the blue circle arrow (in this case the Infocom
classic "Enchanter", the top bar becomes "<Story List] ". Landscape does
not reorient.

When I click the "View in IFDB" button at the bottom, the title bar disappears.
Or at least it did yesterday. NOW I get the title bar you mention "[Story
List] Story Browser", regardless of orientation. I'm certain there were no
updates in between, but I can't break it today after several tries. Sorry. I'm
certain that the menu wasn't there after browsing about in IFDB.

I think this may have been an iOS bug and not actually in the app.
