Hi, we are interested in running HaploMerger2 in our cluster, however we are not academia. I couldn't find your license terms for non-academic users in your repository, nor the manual.

Could you clarify what is the current status?

free so far as long as you maintain the integrity of the package and acknowledage the HM2 author in you work explicitly.

May I suggest you add a license file to your repository and/or manual that explicitly mentions both use cases and any limitations? From a legal perspective, it's really hard to interpret what does "maintain the integrity of the package" means exactly.

You can also use a website like https://choosealicense.com/licenses/ to find one that suits. IANAL, but based on what you mentioned I would suggest something like the Apache License 2.0, which requires preservation of copyright and license notices.
