BlackMagic video capture card: cannot find device on Ubuntu #241

On Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit, with a BlackMagic Intensity Shuttly USB 3.0, with the driver downloaded from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support.

If the drivers are not installed, we get this error message:

libDeckLinkAPI.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Once it's installed, it still doesn't find the device.

aalex@shag:~/soft/Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Linux_10.6.2/deb/amd64$ lsusb | grep Blackmagic
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 1edb:bd3b Blackmagic design Intensity Shuttle
aalex@shag:~/soft/Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Linux_10.6.2/deb/amd64$ lsmod | grep blackmagic
blackmagic_io 569203 0
blackmagic 606349 0

When I launch "MediaExpress", I get a message: "BlackMagic hardware could not be found in your system."

When I run our prototype:

aalex@shag:~/src/mapmap/prototypes/blackmagic$ ./s-video.sh

Got the exact same issue here on Ubuntu 15.10.
