Unaffiliated/Other color #44

I am not a huge fan of the gray scale for unaffiliated or other. I think it doesn't look that good on the maps and can be confusing for some viewers as gray usually denotes missing data or NA, etc. Also, I am not sure how the "blending" would work between say DR's purple and the Unaffiliated/other black. Would it make the purple look darker rather than showing a split in the voting in that geography?

If this is our only option, then we can make it work. Overall, I am not a fan of black as a color for choropleth maps.

All good points. Let me think about what would be better.
