Feb call document done, just needs the zoom link. Did we decide it was OK to put it in the doc? @rwood-97 @dcsw2

Here is a blurb for the media blitz (edit as you like):

Join the MapReader team for our first community call on Thursday, Feb 15 at 4pm UK time! We'll meet on zoom to talk about how to use MapReader, plans for its future, and exploring applications from the growing community of people using MapReader.

MapReader was developed in the Living with Machines project to analyze large collections of historical maps but is a generalizable computer vision pipeline which can be applied to any images in a wide variety of domains.

Details, including a calendar invite and the zoom link, are available on the MapReader Slack workspace. Sign up for the workspace here: https://forms.gle/vCKaN7DQczMSDA2j8 If you don't use Slack, you can get the details by contacting us directly: [WHOSE EMAIL DO WE PUT HERE - or can we use the gmail account we created?]

@rwood-97 - are the peak district people ok to present? if so, can you add their names and the name of their project to the agenda on the Feb doc?

kmcdono2 commented 8 months ago

@rwood-97 - can we add a page to the docs titled "Community Calls" where there is a list of dates and the info on how to get the meeting invite?

I think the "join the workspace for a link" approach seems good.

Maybe for the email give the mapreader.team@gmail.com email - I can set up forwarding to my Turing email (shall I also do yours + @dcsw2 's turing emails?)

Just double checking, I think yes.
