Idea for Narrative Cartography - The Global Trade Crisis (ongoing)
A complex crisis affecting vital sea trade routes has arisen due to a combination of factors. Recent attacks on ships in the Red Sea by the Houthis due to the Israel-Gaza War, hence affecting usage of Suez Canal, geopolitical tensions affecting shipping in the Black Sea by the Ukraine-Russia War, and the impacts of climate change on the Panama Canal due to severe droughts have all contributed to the crisis.
Points to be highlighted through a Map-
Why should we be concerned? Global Implication- Energy and Food prices rise. Consumers get affected due to Inflation.
