[Android App] No category to add Office/Workspace as a category #2841

When adding a place to the map, there is no option to choose under category as office/workspace. Should have one added under categories.

Hmm, I cannot find an OSM tag for workspaces. Do you know which one is it?

Maybe remove the can_add=no from office-company, this could fit. From the osm-wiki: 'This tag is used for the office of a private company which does not fit into another more specific category' These generic working area POIs are always problematic.

Did you mean a coworking space? If yes, these are quite rare, so you can add these with a web editor. We removed "office=company", because this tag is too generic, and people start adding all kinds of amenities under this type.

well as per @Zverik comment, I agree its too generic, but then how else would one mark an office space on map. My question pertains to process of helping in improving map results and I assume categories are for the same.

I'd like to add a co-working space to the map. Not sure if this is included in what is meant with "Office/Workspace". I found "coworking_space" as amenity in OpenStreetMap. Would like to be able to add it in MAPS.ME.

I'm using iOS so not sure if this is limited to Android at all.
