Add option to freehand tag a point? #2856

I realize this app is for basic users, but somewhere in the Add Point feature it would be great if I could type in my own tag(s) for those not listed. Maybe as an "advanced" option?

Hi!

Thank you for a proposal but for now we have to decline. Our main focus for the nearest future is to create controllable and predictive data stream of changes to OSM. This feature is considered too "dangerous" for a moment.

However, you can contribute and enable secret hidden advanced mode :)

@ericahagen You may be interested in other existing mobile editors such as Vespucci and OsmAnd

Tell me what does that mean? Or it's a joke?

I'm wondering if we could add then just some tags which are standard? Or how to request that?

And, ask if it's possible to refresh the map more frequently than when you do an update.

We are planning to update map more often, about once a month.

About hacking the code, it wasn’t a joke: if you know C++ and iOS/Android code, you can contribute a Pull Request with changes.
