Some public methods have no return parameter in javadocs. Also some class java 
docs should be reviewed.

The ant build fails on Linux because there are still non-utf8 characters in the 
javadoc. I will commit a dirty-fix for the ant build-file to bypass this 
problem for now.

I have replaced the non-utf8 characters in javadoc in rev 48.
