Open non-google apps links in browser

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click a link which takes you to a non-google apps page
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 I would expect a non-google page to open in a new window/tab of my default
browser. The page opens in a new GMDesk window and not a new browser tab/window

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
 Where does it tell me?

found the verision number, its 0.99. might want to make that obvious on the 
app's
home page or add it somwhere in the app itself.
