Unable to save existing session when there is no transcript #142

Create a new session (without importing a transcript).

Edit the session metadata.

Click Save.

Then an exception occurs.

Fixed in r457.

A couple of places in the code assumed a session always has a transcript - this 
used
to be true but not any more. Now we put the appropriate checks in.

Note - there may be other places that make similar assumptions.
