Demo version of Flex app

In one of the earlier incarnations of this project, we were able to run in
a demo mode. This did not require a database to be running and so could be
readily accessed across the internet.

The Xquery app would not really be realistic without a database.

However, the flex app uses relatively little XQuery and so a demo of the
flex app would be possible. Certain features may need to be disabled, however.

This would be good for showing off the project to interested people.

Not important now.

(Would also need to refactor the interface for the persistence layer - whether 
we are
accessing the db using xmldb or xquery should be transparent outside of the
persistence layer)
