sheet bigger than sheet layout won't cut #6

When I draw a 2.44x1.5m wall and ask to cut it in sheets of 4'x8' it doesn't
cut the second sheet to get 1.5m (so I get a 2.44m-8' wall instead of 1.5m).
However it works well if I select a larger sheet (5'), it cuts the sheet.
It only cuts if it fits in one sheet -> no luck to cut the Nth sheet?

This is working as originally designed.
The default setting on the Layout tab is to 'Split wide parts'.
The way that it 'splits' is to make another piece the same size and lay this
out on the available materials. In this way it provides enough material to form
the part, assuming the pieces are glued up and the required piece is cut out of
it.

If you uncheck this option, it will simply tell you that it doesn't fit on the
available size of material you selected.

At this time, there is no attempt to subtract the exact dimension that fits on
one sheet and put the remainder on the second sheet. In practice this would be
unrealistic, though I do admit that with sheet goods, it might not be.
The layout simply reserves enough space on the material to ensure that the
required piece can be cut out.

I hope that helps!
Steve
