What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I used snakeos-V1.3.2-20101130-from-original.bin to upgrade my NS-K330
2. Upgrade to took some 1min and showed up something in Chinese in RED colour
3. NAS stopped responding, so I powered off and on the NAS box and couldn't
access it now.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should have upgrade but it didn't

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

NS-K330 on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

All lights are ON on NAS and on the router too, so would like to know whether
its recoverable ?

Maybe this helps. I did the upgrade yesterday and the process was the same (red
chinese included). The box seemed to automatically reboot itself after the
upgrade.

After the upgrade I could not access the box because the ip address had changed
to the default (I think 192.168.0.240). I had to use a crossover patch cord and
set the Ip address on my laptop to one address on the 192.168.0.0/24 network (
I statically set the ip address on the laptop to 192.168.0.1) After that I
could access the box, and change the address of the NAS to match the network I
use in my home.

Thank you for the workaround dude, I will give a try before that I have few
queries

1. Should I use the crossover patch cord to connect PC and NAS box (or Router)
2. What is the default gateway should I use.

Thanks

1. That depends. Some NICs can autodetect which cable are you connecting. In my
case it seems it doesn't. I tried crossover and normal cable and only crossover
worked if I connect the NAS to the laptop.

2. If you connect the laptop with the NAS directly and you set manually
(statically) the IP address of your laptop on the same network segment you do
not need the default gateway as it isn't used.
