Swap Usage 0% #289

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Every time I go to the Monitor page in the system folder,
Swap usage is always 0%.
Swap is enabled on a USB drive and a 1.5Gb swapfile is used.

I am not sure if it is being used or not due to monitor not marking anything
besides 0%

You can get the exact swap usage by running "free" via ssh.

Unless you are running something heavy (like transmission) you probably won't
hit swap all that hard.

I am running Transmission and other services that use loads of resorces. RAM
and CPU are always nearly 100%!

I think the monitor page includes disk cache in the memory usage. So the actual
memory usage is usually much lower than there.

Check "top" to see how much memory is used for cache.
