MiniDLNA-Snake OS combination does not support video file share #321

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load video supported video files (IE .mp4) on NAS
2. Verify access to files by DLNA client (Samsung blu ray player)
3. Create share for video files
4. Access NAS via bluray client
5. Access video files

What is the expected output?
Expect to see/access video files

What do you see instead?
DLNA client shows no files as being available. Files verified by direct
connection(USB) to DLANA client as well as myfilebrowser yet nothing in the
share access.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Snake v1.3.2
miniDLNA 1.0.24.opk

Please provide any additional information below.
DLNA client shows both music files and picture files from same NAS and share
set up

Having similiar problems. Samsung's DLNA client called "Allshare" totally
defeats the purpose of having a standard such as DLNA by adding proprietary
features that essentially break it.

I could only get a few of the videos on my 2 TB hdd to stream to my Samsung
model UNXXD8000 65" LED TV. Ended up attaching hdd to PC and using the
Allshare PC software to add the hdd as a shared folder. :/
