Missing Words
copulae
("copula" + "copulas" exists, but missing this rarer plural form too.)
hegemonism
hegemonistic
(Lots of "hegemony" words exist, but missing some of these other related forms.)
copyeditor copyeditors
(4
copy-edit
words exist, but noteditor
.)Side Note: And is there a specific reason why the hyphenated
copy-edit
is used instead of non-hyphenated form? I know older style used a hyphen (or space), but nowadays, the unhyphenated seems to be way more popular since ~1980:Google N-grams: "copyedit" vs. "copy-edit"

Seems like a term mostly used in computers/programming.
(I was surprised about this one, since I've probably used it many times before! :P)
Very rare:
but it can be found in technical journals/books:
Even showed up back in the 1950s/1970s!
Note: Skimming through Google Books, it even looks like a lot of Library/Philosophy books used the word too! Plus, articles discussing things like CDs/cassettes/Xerox machines.
(I've definitely seen much rarer words existing in the online dictionaries! :P Surprised this one didn't exist in any I checked! Seems like it should exist right alongside "copyable".)
Couldn't find this one in (trustworthy) dictionaries yet... but this thing has ~6 million hits in Google now, which is way beyond many other included words.
On "Is this a valid word?", see comments in:
And according to:
its popularity has been rising since ~1987.
Recently, it seems like its popularity is really exploding in IT-related fields + "THE CLOUD", like:
so it's probably the case of major dictionaries not catching up to new usage yet.
