Hi,
i'd like to second this opinion about the HMIP-SRH. As stated, the SRH becomes a motorized window when shown in Home (the apple app). Right now, the open/close-commands you can issue via Home are ignored, but it would be so much nicer if the SRH could be put into the same category as the other window-sensors and not expose any actions/commands at all.
Hi @schnischnaschnappi ,
while I personally like the idea of modeling the HmIP-SRH as a window-sensor, I would not recommend it. You would lose the possibility to detect the "TILTED" state of a window. The window sensor only supports OPEN or CLOSED. At least for my scenarios this is relevant.
Hello, I wanted to give you feedback on how the system is running so far since I've been using it for some time.
The actuators have worked very well via HomeKit and voice control so far, you actually don't even notice that the devices are not certified.
However I have a few smaller suggestions for improvement.
HMIP-SRH: I really appreciate that you integrate the devices into HomeKit as precisely as possible, but the status of the contacts can be queried very laboriously with Siri because in this case it is about motorized windows. Commands like "Hey Siri, are windows still open / closed at home" are not processed correctly because of this, followed by the question of whether you should close a window, which of course does not work because the windows are not really motorized. In my opinion, the HMIP-SRH should be reintegrated as normal contacts because the correctly functioning voice control is more valuable for me in this case. In addition, by integrating the contacts as a motorized window, it is no longer possible to set whether it is a window or a door.
HMIP-WTH (-2): The next problem basically also affects voice control. While the radiator thermostats change their status between "Inactive" and "Heating" depending on the setting, "Heating" is permanently displayed on the wall thermostats so that Siri always answers yes to the question whether a room is heated. If the wall thermostats could be integrated as simple temperature and humidity sensors, the home app would be a bit clearer and you could still call up the temperature and humidity and the heating can also be regulated by the radiator thermostats that are inevitably integrated anyway and is correctly displayed in the app.
Except for these two "problems" everything works perfectly and is super stable - there has not been a single dropout so far! Even the security mode can be set correctly via HomeKit and voice control and has so far worked perfectly!
