Unclear design decision for mark task

I am unclear as to the difference between the two design considerations. Both seem to refer to the fact that whether the task is completed or not relies on the state of the status attribute of each task. However, it is unclear as to what is the difference between toggling and setting the status to be True.

• setting the status means that status can be set to any string we want, instead of just assigning a boolean value.
• Toggling would only restrict us to the boolean value of true, false.
