Thank you for the kind words! 🙏
Could you share some more details on how you'd like this to work? Do you mean that you want to add metadata to each calendar event, like "Include field" in Gallery and Board view?
You can already set color conditionally across your views. Could you use that to set a different color?
Hi @marcusolsson ,
Thanks for reply. Of course for some (quick) precisions.
Let's take an example. Currently I manage all my tasks in Project.
In this case, each task corresponds to a file with the following YALM header (called by templater + quickadd). These "todo" files are added in the folders of each project.
When I view them in the agenda, I have to select either "scheduled" or "deadline" but often I would like to see both in the same view with different colors. A bit like in thunderbird or google calendar.
I think that this functionality would also allow to do timeblocking to visualize work periods on such or such project which would be integrated via a YAML field (but that would suppose to be able to seize a period and not only a date what is not possible currently if I am not mistaken) and to visualize thanks to the calendar view.

I don't use the Gallery view much... I'll take a closer look. But the idea is what I imagine...
I just played very quickly with the Gallery view with the to-do list, it is true that there is already the potential (the covers in addition ;-) )
Hi @marcusolsson
Do you need more information to understand this request? What do you think?
Maybe a good option would be to add a "OR" option for the filter ?
I think allowing to define calendar events using multiple YAML fields and might be confusing if a note shows up on multiple dates (I'm not sure this is what you meant).
I think it makes sense to include other date fields to a calendar event, to show things like deadline for the event. The problem is that calendar events have much less space compared to the cards in Gallery and Board views.
Hi @marcusolsson
Thank you for your answer. With the colors and filters I would just like to display in the same calendar view the scheduled events (blue) and the due dates (red), which are rarely the same.
Currently, if I do a filter with WHEN (when the YAML field "scheduled" is present) and AND (when the YAML field "deadline" is present) I can only display events that have both present. OR would be useful. With a lot of scheduled events/tasks (currently 150 micro todo) this would be very useful too. The Gallery view is very good but with so many events I prefer the calendar...
But I understand your constraints. I'm just thinking about whether it would be workable...
This bot triages issues and PRs according to the following rules: - After 60d of inactivity, lifecycle/stale is applied. - After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/stale was applied, lifecycle/rotten is applied and the issue is closed. You can: - Make a comment to remove the stale label and show your support. The 60 days reset. - If an issue has lifecycle/rotten and is closed, comment and ask maintainers if they'd be interested in reopening
I would absolutely love this feature exactly like @bepolymathe describes it. Have been searching for a way to do something like this for a while now. I love the projects plugin, and this would be the thing that took it all the way for me.
I get how it could become confusing with multiple instances of the same note in one view. One idea I have (which would simultaneously be very helpful in other ways as well) is to graphically highlight all instances of a note when you hover over it. In this way it would become very easy to locate the "duplicates" and get a sense of them being related or joined.

@clolesen My +1 on this.
What would you like to be added?
Hi @marcusolsson
Thank you for this essential plugin that has completely transformed the way I work with Obsidian. Now that I use YAML headers intensively I feel the need to be able to display in the calendar view several date fields simultaneously. For example, I manage my tasks with Projects with "scheduled" and "deadline" fields and I would like to be able to display a calendar with them together and with a different color.
Do you think it would be possible? Interesting? Desirable? Integratable?
Why is this needed?
For a better visualization of tasks and projects in calendar view.
