Fix Gilgamesh #31

Gilgamesh is chronically overheating, and the cooling system appears to be failing.

  1. Rule out a software issue
  2. Determine whether the issue is being caused by the liquid cooler or the motherboard
  3. Order new parts
  4. Install new parts

Ian confirmed that the problem is in fact the liquid cooler. I'll send you an Amazon link when I find one.

@klwadland Do we already have thermal paste anywhere in the lab? If not, can we order some?

The new liquid cooler has been ordered. I also ordered some thermal paste as I couldn't find any in the lab. Hopefully, both will be here by the end of the week/beginning of next week.

The replacement liquid cooler has arrived! It's on the cart by my desk.

Just finished installing the cooler and gilgamesh's temperature hovers around 30 degrees C. Gilgamesh is pretty much fixed at this point!
