Obsolete function

[GoogleCodeExporter]

Functions that require user action in custom themes after an upgrade should
pop an alert: "This function has been updated. See release notes in [URL to
the release notes page from issue 183]"

Must be tested

Try open mageimage site, you will get a notice message about deprecated function
(same for admin interface).

Yeah, I saw the msg.
It didn't say what function was deprecated. 
I guess the msg comes from the body of the function, so it shouldn't be hard to
insert the name there. Then it will be much easier for admin to understand 
what's
going on.
