prpltwtr no longer modifies chat windows to include tweet count, account picture, action link(s) #54

Client (Pidgin, finch, empathy, etc): Pidgin (portable)
Client Version: 2.8.0
LibPurple Version: 2.8.0
PrplTwtr Version: 0.8.0
Operating System: Windows 7 Pro x64

I installed prpltwtr yesterday and used it for about 4 hours. Everything worked
as I'd expected. I shut down and then came back this morning and prpltwtr no
longer has a character count in the windows, the action links after a tweet, or
a users profile picture. I already tried reinstalling prpltwtr but that hasn't
helped the issue at all.

Is there something I'm doing wrong/can fix?

Hmmm. When you say "shut down" do you mean that you'd closed the window? Closed
Pidgin? Restarted your PC?

I've never seen this before; can you confirm if the gtkprpltwtr plugin is still
enabled?

I have seen weird display corruption with pidgin in general (not just PrplTwtr)
after several weeks of no restarts...

Terribly sorry, should've clarified. I closed the window and shutdown pidgin.
No crashes whatsoever, everything was a normal close/shutdown as expected. I
even went so far again as to go through and manually pull out everything that
was installed by the installer and run it again, and I have the same problem.

The plugin actually was DISABLED. I didn't realize there was a plugin for this
as well. I've enabled it again. I'd imagine this fixes it as the character
counter is already back. Sorry about being so daft, but I didn't realize there
was actually a plugin besides the protocol.

No problem. It has to be this way, as prpltwtr.dll provides the protocol to
libpurple, but any GUI manipulations have to be done through a pidgin plugin
(cleverly named gtkprpltwtr.dll in this case).

So is everything OK? I'm still not sure how it happened in the first case, but
it would appear there's no way to tell, since the logs are long gone...

Yep, after some tweets started coming in, all is well. I'm not really sure why
the plugin got disabled either. At least I know what to look for though, and
maybe others who have this problem can get the info from here!!

The only other thing I'm curious about, is there any way to have a "replies
timeline" like the home timeline?

There's no replies timeline; replies are shown as IMs from the sender.

Yeah, I was just curious if there was a way to aggregate them all. No worries
though. This has made my life much easier. Thanks for the great work and the
help this morning, I appreciate it. You can mark this as resolved :)
