Did this work for you in 0.8.0? 

I just tried with that version, and it doesn't work there either.

The problem appears to be with the fact that their plugin is trying to 
translate the HTML link added at the end to support the links. This corrupts 
the link, which causes it to be shown as well as not work.

Yes, I see the link. That's how I downloaded it to investigate briefly. 

The other plugin is corrupting my messages. You'll have to take it up with them.

I spoke to EionRobb on IRC.

The root cause is a bug is his code.

I may be able to work around it (the translation will still break regular 
links, but hopefully not the ones GtkPrplTwtr uses to add the popup menus).

I will let you know.
