I have the same issue with the version 4 stable - exactly as described above. The courseindex is currently basically unusable with the flexsections format.
Hi @Alex7025 , would you be able to record a screencast to demonstrate the problem? I saw a similar report in https://github.com/marinaglancy/moodle-format_flexsections/issues/39 but I can't quite understand what you mean.
Regarding the scrolling - the scrolling only shows approximate current section that is in the scroll view, just like topics format. If several sections are in the view at the same time, the course index may not be accurate. Again, will be great to see a screencast to understand what you mean.
Hi Marina wondering if this is by design or something else. 3.11, with editing on go to move and item and if you don't click on the + sign and click the link It keeps the item where it is and asks you " what do you want to call this link". 4.1 with flex sections do the same but this time it will move the item either to the top or bottom of the section you are transferring from/to (tell you briefly in blue) and then ask you "what do you want to call this link" and also create a link
This means if the user is not able to quickly read the message the file can end up at the bottom of the section and lost, plus it moves the file and creates a url link.
I think the 3.11 way it works makes more sense. if you click the url then it asks you what to name it and makes a shortcut but does not move the file.
what are your ideas on that?
Hello, I have some issue with the new index course on Moodle 4.0. When using the Flexsections format for my courses : -It shows only my parent sections and I cannot fold or unfold nothing without going inside the section. -If I scroll inside of a sub section, the blue cursor / highlight does not follow where I am in my course. -Once I'm in a sub section, If I go back to the parent one, the index is still on the sub section.

Any ideas ?
