Some brand new work on using OBIS data to generate diversity indices that would be an excellent fit for the marine life section:

I have recreated this analysis and run it for the GoM. Trouble is that it is a bit heavy and can't scale to higher resolutions without eating tons of RAM and ending with too-sparse data. Still... maybe it is worth showing that the data is too sparse for this analysis. :man_shrugging:
