@7yl4r yikes, that's not good. we haven't touched the site in a couple of weeks and the content is all there - just the images and stylesheets seem to be missing. I'm going into the WP dashboard now and it looks normal - wonder if this is a Bluehost thing? I will contact them
@7yl4r I'm looking at the files in cpanel and not finding anything amiss. on hold with a tech at bluehost and will let you know what they say.
@7yl4r can you check it out now? looks okay to me. the bluest person said it was a database issue... not sure why though as we haven't done anything with the database recently. maybe something happened with a scheduled WP update?
looks good now. I don't know what the issue was. For now let's hope it doesn't happen again.
issue ongoing. I am in contact with bluehost support.
I am seeing the issue in firefox on my computer currently. I have http cache disabled in the web inspector, but will try clearing my cache manually.
after manually clearing my cache from "all time" using the "delete history" interface I am still seeing the issue
Frank reports having the issue on all subpages. The pages load correctly when reloading with shift+F5, but the issues return to broken state when loaded without that setting. I am seeing the same thing. I find this confusing as I would expect the local cache to update following a shift+F5.
feedback from bluehost support
Thank you for letting me know. I'm afraid I was able to replicate the issue in a different system and the only option would be to disable each plugin one by one to check which plugin might be causing the issue.
It might be due to any update in any plugin or theme which can cause this issue. I would start by disabling cache plugins to see if it will work as usually the cache plugins cause this.
I deactivated "Speed Booster Pack v4.5.6". The page either got worse or had no change.
I deactivated "Go Live Update Urls v6.5.3". No change.
I wonder if these things are going to take a while to propagate through systems.
interesting. so it's a plugin issue rather than a database issue? i can take a look (if you're not in there anymore)?
That is what I was told. Made sense to me but now that we have disabled the cache ones I am feeling uncertain again. I am done for the day so please do take over.
according to this tech support person, apparently it is an issue with the .htaccess file not being updated properly when a plugin or the theme is updated. it's fixed and he says it shouldn't be an issue now. I'll believe it when I see it....
Still broken for me.
the Bluehost person said they would work on it and contact me when complete, and I got an email about two hours ago saying everything was resolved. I am still seeing it broken on edge and chrome on my PC though (looks fine on chrome and safari on my Mac). I'm back on with support again.
okay, I spoke with someone who told me the following:
Amazon Registrar, Inc. registrar has to update nameservers to us
Please see here: https://www.whois.com/whois/marinebon.org
your registrar is Amazon. BlueHost is just your A record. registrar has to change nameservers. nameservers has to change DNS is hierarchy
by adding ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com
So I've contacted Andy and hopefully he can help...
Looking through the cpanel I found an area that lists errors. The latest error is:

Looking at this SO comment, I think these errors may be unrelated.
Looking good now! :+1:
Deleting the HMWP Ghost plugin and resetting the changes it made has restored the site. I also recreated the htaccess file because it had a bunch of garbage exception code in there (related to the plugin). fingers crossed we're good now.
Still looking good! Many thanks and congrats to @torieketcham for tracking down this. :heart_decoration:
Seeing a major issue with the whole site. It looks like all the resources are failing to load. @torieketcham : any ideas on what changed (semi)recently?
