Maybe with an ST_Envelope() function as an optional tab with possibility of subsetting by tags.

ST_Envelope with ST_Simplify to produce quick footprints of each dataset for display
Show Location (eg red polygon) on top of the datasets (eg blue polygons), optionally filtered by Tags
Defaults to Table view, but can then show Map view too
