Have you seen this online ocean mapping tool?

It’s a free nautical chart with color, topographic base (OSM) or satellite image, selectable layers: weather (wave height, temperature, wind, precipitation, NOAA data), sea marks, ports, sport, coordinate grid, elevation profile, sea floor profile, marine traffic, compass, water depth, bathymetric lines, links, planning option, marine traffic turned on shows you the names and real-time position and movement of ships worldwide. Much of the data are open-source (click on the button at the bottom left or go to Help-License).

Click the 'view' button at the top left to choose layers.

Good find! Looks like we can use these basemap layers in our mapping too. More here: https://wiki.openseamap.org/wiki/OpenSeaMap_in_Website#Tile-Server.
