Cannot open more than 2 browser windows #119

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open 3 the same videos (http://192.168.0.100/sh.mp4) in 3 Firefox windows

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

First two browser windows play video, the third does nothing. It shows "Cache
fill: 0.00%" in the statusbar and nothing more.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.0.0, Iceweasel 3.5.8

If I close the first two windows, the third starts playing

Unable to duplicate the problem. I was able to open
http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/testing/testvid.html in four tabs in
firefox 3.6.13

Perhaps your vo is set to xv, and you are running out of xv ports to play on.
Try using gl or x11 as the vo and see if the problem goes away.

I am able to open five instances of gnome-mplayer with the same URL, so I don't
think it's a xv problem.

Anyway, If I set video output to x11 in plugin's preferences result is the same.

please test with firefox. I used the exact same file on my webserver and opened
5 instances of the video all playing at the same time.

I have already described the Iceweasel's behaviour. Gnome-mplayer works fine
with 5 instances, but plugin doesn't.

forgot to say that tabs are disabled, Iceweasel opens URLs in separate windows

Opened 4 separate firefox windows with the video in each window and they all
work. Still think it might be a problem in iceweasel.
