Few seconds after entering full screen movie truns black, audio continues playing #128

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. play movie
2. enter fullscreen
3. about 2 seconds after hiding controls at the bottom, screen is black

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
black colour. when i return to window it is still black, even if i press
stop and play only audio plays. i must close application and run it again

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tested on 0.6.0 and 0.9.3, both are doing same problem, gentoo linux

Please provide any additional information below.

i think, it is caused by hiding controls, but even if i hide them by
pressing "c" in window mode and then enter fullscreen, the same black
screen appears after few seconds...

Does it do this with the X11 vo as well? And have you tried with gnome-mplayer
SVN?

Please set the Video Output to x11 in gnome-mplayer and rerun gnome-mplayer
with the
-v option and post the output...

setting output to x11 solved the problem, but i don't understand, why it does
not
work properly with other settings.

If you have OpenGL support can you try setting the Video Output to 'gl' or
'gl2'.
I've been testing on my laptop that has xv support and I am unable to duplicate
the
issues.

There is also a hidden gconf/.conf file key named 'disable_animation' if you
set that
to TRUE or 1, it may help.

no, this was not helpful. i also thought, this may cause the problem

Can you try svn with the xv output, I have made some changes to the window
settings
and that may help. Also what does 'xvinfo' report. I know there are many issues
with
the intel driver right now. Perhaps you need to select a different xv option.
Also,
do you know what intel chipset you have?

I think I'm getting the same issue, affecting xv, x11, gl, and gl2 output.

Attached are gnome-mplayer -v logs for each of those output settings on the
same
video file, as well as my output for xvinfo.
