mplayer has nofontconfig function support.
for now,gnome-mplayer can't recognize this function.

It's useful to disable ass(or ssa) style.

Just disable ASS Subtitle support in gnome-mplayer, in Edit->Preferences

thx for the infomation
it's not the same function many years ago
(if disable ass support ,mplayer could not find ass subtitle ),but now it's the
same(mplayer will treat it as srt.)

Currently "enable ASS Subtitle support" in gnome-mplayer 0.9.9 rc3 is down.
if "enable ass subtitle support" be unchecked,it will also disable srt subtitle
support.(gnome-mplayer can't find any subtitle)

could you fix it?

thanks
