Video freezes when play/pause repeatedly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Puase a video which is beeing played. Then, play it again, then pause it again, 
if you do it sometimes in a small period of time, the video freezes.

Sometimes, you press the play/pause button more than once by mistake or 
something and you get the video frozen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Probably due to the way mplayer is controlled. gmplayer is built directly into 
the application, where gnome-mplayer needs to use the slave interface to 
control mplayer. So sometimes there is a slight delay between the time you 
click pause and the time mplayer says it is paused. Usually pressing space will 
start the video playing.

gnome-mplayer code has been reworked in this area. Can you please retest SVN 
r2088 or higher?
