bottom slider does not work #459

With gnome-mplayer_1.0.0 moving forward/backward using the bottom slider does 
not work. When trying the playback jumps to the beginning.

I'm guessing the file you are trying to player does not have a proper index 
built. Try playing the file with mplayer and see if using the arrow keys shows 
the same behavior. If so, you can probably reencode the file with mplayer to 
have indexes.

No, this is not due to a missing index. In fact I use mencoder to rebuild the 
index from the DVB recordings. It also happens for audio files. I can use the 
fast forward button but not the slider.

Can you please post a media file that does this, as I am unable to duplicate 
this problem.

Sorry for the noise. My fault since I forgot to set the proper GTK path before 
compilation so configure disabled depreciated GTK functions.
