Closing "Preferences" window starts playing media even when paused #484

* What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Start playing some media file
2. Pause playback
3. Open preferences window
4. Close preferences window

* What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Playback unpauses, when it should remain paused.

* What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

v. 1.0.0 on Gentoo.

Confirmed in SVN as well.

Works a little better in SVN, but still not perfect, will try get it to work 
better
