Can run run gnome-mplayer under gdb

gdb gnome-mplayer
gdb> run

make it crash

gdb> bt

post that output, as I cannot duplicate the problem here. Also posting your
configure output might be helpful.

I don't see anything that really points to gnome-mplayer here. I'm using Fedora
15 and it ships with glib2-2.28.6-2.fc15.x86_64

The change log for it is here:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=239078

So it looks like we are running the same library.

I open another pc and the os of this pc is also fedora 15. I setup
gnome-mplayer 1.0.4b on it and gnome-mplayer works normally.
Then I run it's gnome-mplayer on my pc thought "ssh -X", the gnome-mplayer also
lose response as the one on my pc.
Oppositely, when I run the gnome-mplayer of my pc on another pc, the
gnome-mplayer runs normally.
I feel it is very surprising.
can this info help you?

Could it be the Window Manager or something else. What OS is the problem
machine?

fedora 15.

Sounds like something is wrong on that machine, if you have two machines with
the same setup they should both work the same. I think your problem is tied to
that machine/OS

I can reproduce this issue with 1.0.5. But I also see a second SIGSEV. The
first backtrace is

I haven't read the issue carefully enough. gnome-mplayer actually doesn't hang
but crashes immediately. And this is while playing a video. If you think this
is unrelated I'll open a new issue.

s.ramacher, your issue is completely different. Please open a new issue, but
based on your backtrace I don't see any gnome-mplayer files causing the fault.
You might see if there is an upgrade to glib2, unsure of what version you are
using, but that looks like it might be the cause. I'm using version
glib2-2.22.5-6.el6.x86_64 here.

Found an error where the state was being set wrong for audio files and this may
have been causing this issue with the preferences. Fix will be in 1.0.7
